About Toronto Pearson Airport:
Our region is growing and so is the demand for air travel. We’re preparing to support our stakeholders over the next 20 years.
Key Accountabilities:
- Build and maintain the Toronto Pearson Safety (TPS) Manual which provides standard safety practices for the GTAA including the Safety Policy and Non-Punitive Reporting Policy for Aviation Safety (SMS), Occupational Health & Safety, and Technical and Construction Safety.
- Manage, oversee, and constantly enhance the People and Planes Safety Management System.
- Make that investigation and the analysis of reported issues are conducted consistently according to a predetermined methodology.
- By using the People and Planes Safety model, make sure functional departments are taking the necessary safety precautions and offer support, including training, to enable businesses to successfully carry out key safety functions and satisfy applicable regulatory requirements (safety awareness, incident review, hazard, and risk assessment).
- Act as a safety leader to transform the safety culture at Toronto Pearson.
Qualifications Toronto Pearson Airport Jobs :
- degree from a university or college in aviation management or safety. Aviation management or occupational health and safety are seen as assets.
- 3 years or more of experience in people leadership or management
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in a safety role supporting safety practices and culture in aviation, transportation, the oil and gas industry, or another industrial sector
- Experience in Safety Risk Management (SRM), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Safety Assurance (SA), or Project Management; 5+ years of safety experience in a big, complex airport setting; Experience managing union and management relations in a 24/7 workplace.
